Hi friends! I’m currently sleepless…in Seattle… and wanted to send some love out into the universe today. Last night, I had a long chat with my roommates about life, ambition, commitment, dreams, vulnerability, acceptance, love…this list goes on. It was the type of conversation that grounds me and helps me to refocus on what is important. I drank about 5 shots of expresso this morning, so I figured it was a great time to catch up on life and kick off Monday with a coffee date!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…
that my roommate and i made a pact to walk around green lake every day until the end of the summer. yes, there are some days when we can’t do it together, or can’t do it at all, but it’s a goal we’re trying hard to stick to and we go at least 4 days/week together!
bright-colored tops and pink lipstick are making a comeback in this house
spring has arrived in seattle, but only intermittently. earlier this week, i wore a sundress in the afternoon, and a sweater/blanket scarf just a few hours later. you can’t win here!
we’re five weeks into the quarter, with only five weeks left! i will actually be walking at the UW School of Public Health graduation ceremony in June. although i won’t technically have graduated yet, the ceremony is for anyone graduating over the summer. i didn’t walk in my undergraduate ceremony, so my parents are looking forward to finally seeing me cross that stage!
i’m giving another motivational interviewing training on wednesday for adolescent healthcare providers. eeeeeeeeek!
i cannot wait to stand up paddle board in lake union! now i just need to find myself a paddle board….
i joined a bookclub and completely failed at reading the first book…but i’ve already started reading this next month’s book, so that’s a good start?
when i think of the first five foods that i love, this is what comes to mind: avocados, poke, cheese, peanut butter, and bananas
i tried The November Project here in Seattle last wednesday and – oh my gosh – if you live in seattle you totally have to go! it was a blast.
- What’s one new thing you’ve tried and loved lately?
- Anything you’re looking forward to doing once the weather gets nicer?
- Anyone visiting Seattle soon?!
- Who’s graduating in the next few months?!
