Hello friends and happy Thursday! I’ve had this post in my inbox for weeks now, and am now just finally finding the time to hit ‘publish’ 🙂 I’m feeling particularly jazzed because I’m the Maid of Honor in my best friend’s wedding this weekend in Minnesota. Eeeek! I’m likely on my flight as you’re reading this, and you can bet that I’m soaking in every minute of my flight READING FOR FUN. Oh yes, you read that correctly – reading for FUN. I have a long list of books I’d like to finish (and let’s be real – restart at this point since it’s been so long), but the two I’m bringing on the plane are Intuitive Eating and All the Single Ladies: Unmarried Women and the Rise of an Independent Nation. So pumped.
There’s lots going on behind the scenes here at Nutrition Elevated, as well as in my personal/every day life. Some of it is great – some of it is not so great. I’m limited in terms of the amount of physical activity that I can participate in after my car accident, so that’s definitely taken a toll on my physical health and mental clarity. But I’m doing the best that I can, and looking at the past two months as a mini form of “rock bottom” – it can only go up from here 🙂 My new motto: life is always an adventure, but not always a party. Without further ado…
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…
I bought this giraffe adult onesie for my 30th birthday celebration and our annual holiday party (it’s PJ-themed this year!) It’s already made multiple appearances in the house because I’m really a 5-year-old at heart
I started working as a Program Assistant at the IMA on the UW Campus. The Fitness Manager – who I met over two years ago – needed some additional help with projects and offered me the job. It came at the perfect time, and I feel very grateful to make a little $$ while I look for a full-time job!
We got a new roommate! She’s pretty rad – and some of you may even recognize her 🙂
If you don’t already know…I started a podcast! It’s been such a fun passion project, and I’m excited to see where it takes us
I’m definitely getting used to weekly massages…even if they are therapeutic massages
I’m planning to run the Whidbey Half Marathon again in 2018 – whoo hoo!
The fall foliage in Seattle is GORGEOUS right now
A quote that’s making me think: “I am not what you think I am. I am what you think you are.”
A quote that’s inspiring me: “You are what you do. Not what you say you’ll do.”
Let’s have a virtual coffee date:
- Thanksgiving plans…? Turkey Trot? Visiting family? Hosting? Friendsgiving?
- “What the Health” – have you watched it? What are your thoughts? Questions?
- Best Halloween costume you’ve made/worn or seen: GO!
