Hi friends and happy Monday. Today is a big day for me: I’m starting my new job! It’s mainly just an introductory day, but it feels really great to restart adulthood 🙂
I posted a picture of this Cranberry Crostini recipe on my instagram yesterday and you guys went NUTS. I received so many messages about how much you loved it, so I definitely wanted to share the recipe with you here today. It was also a huge hit at my Friendsgiving gathering and with the neighbors (who slyly texted me to see if I’d bring some over for them to try.)
Here’s what I’ll say about holiday appetizers: focus on using high-quality and real ingredients (i.e. quit with the low-fat, sugar-free options!) and make it look visually appealing. Red is one of the most beautiful foods to use in cooking dishes, and it’s definitely fitting for the holidays. People eat with their eyes first, so if your dish looks beautiful, people will be more likely to grab a nibble!
The best part of this dish? It’s easy. Like, crazy easy. Perfect for anyone feeling a little overwhelmed this holiday season.
I found the recipe on the Saveur site – it’s a great resource for cooking inspiration. The recipe calls for a subtle hint of orange zest and juice, honey for some sweetness, and sea salt to tie all the flavors together. It’s absolutely delish. And the thyme adds an interesting and unexpected kick to the entire creation. Plus, it’s totally dietitian approved 😉
Enjoy! Make sure to send me any photos of your creations! XO
