client feedback
“You are the kindest, loveliest person to talk to and you always say just the right thing. I would always joke to my therapist that I felt like I was “cured” after our meetings because your advice and insight was so valuable in combatting my ED. Thank you so so much for your support and your role in my recovery. Wherever you go and whoever you help, they will be so lucky to work with you.”

My Nutrition counseling Philosophies

At each nutrition visit, expect a welcoming environment filled with kindness, genuine warmth, and an unwavering sense of curiosity. Your journey will be guided by a compassionate approach that values your unique experiences, fostering an atmosphere where questions are encouraged, discoveries are celebrated, and your individuality is honored.

In our interactions, I recognize and embrace the human journey of growth, fostering a space where the principles of a growth mindset prevail. Embracing the inherent nature of learning and evolution, I encourage an environment where setbacks and challenges are seen as opportunities for personal development and progress.

Through a commitment to developing cognitive flexibility (aka mutable thoughts), we aim to loosen the hold of rigid expectations, fostering a more forgiving and adaptable mindset. Embracing imperfections and removing absolutes enables a shift toward greater self-compassion, creating a nurturing space for healing and personal growth.

An anti-diet dietitian challenges the traditional dieting paradigm, rejecting weight-centric approaches in favor of a focus on intuitive eating, body respect, and Health At Every Size*. I advocate for mindful, non-restrictive eating habits and support clients in fostering a neutral and/or positive relationship with food and their bodies, promoting overall well-being rather than emphasizing weight loss or rigid dietary rules.

“Lack of motivation” is often misunderstood because it’s not a fixed, innate trait but rather a complex interplay of various factors. It’s a term people use to describe moments when they struggle to engage in certain activities. However, it’s not a permanent state; rather, it’s influenced by things like mood, environment, mindset, and even physiological factors. It’s better seen as a signal that something might need attention or adjustment rather than an inherent personal flaw.

My practice is guided by a commitment to honor the inherent worth and dignity of every individual, regardless of their size or shape. While I understand the desire for weight loss and the societal pressures surrounding body image, prescribing a weight loss plan solely focuses on a number on the scale, rather than the complex interplay of many factors that contribute to one’s health and happiness.

I deeply value the holistic health of each individual I serve, and I hope to offer a supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to embrace their unique bodies, cultivate self-compassion, and make choices that prioritize their overall health.
